As this series explores the body and femininity, Kaethe Butcher aims to illustrate women in the nude, proclaiming both vulnerability and honesty. Venturing into luxurious yet divine states, she draws women as if they were modern-age goddesses, fierce and holy.
Taking influence from art nouveau and Egon Schiele, Kaethe Butcher’s illustrations shine its spotlight on the subject of women. Drawn in curvaceous and shapely lines, subtle and eloquent, but at the same time, dashingly flaunts its delicate and misty fragments in style. It accentuates the significance of every line, curve, shape, and form that strengthens each character she portrays in her drawings, sporting comfort, and confidence, leaving the audience with a bold and positive energy.
Her characters are a reflection of love and empowerment that wishes to serve as an inspiration to others. Aspiring them to not hide, to shake the feeling of shame, to let go of worries and fears.
